With many years of practical experience, as an emergency medical technician I realize that if I do not stock my ambulance and jumped bag with all the suitable equipment and Medical Supplies prior to I leave the fire station, I won't be able to do my job appropriately. Medical supplies can include a wide array of bandages crêpe bandages right through to throw away clamps. Bandages include things like soft dressings, triangular bandages and or hard bandages. I must be certain I've got small bandage for dealing with small areas and large bandages for large areas when dealing with major automobile accidents.
What's more, I ensure that I have got supplies like linen savers, nose tubes, plasters and facemasks. I believe, I make sure that I break my situations up virtually into trauma and medical and organize my equipment i every scenario.
For burn victims, I'll make sure to pack in burn Shields and linen savers. For my obstetrics patience, I ensure I have got everything from cord clamps, scissors and linen savers. I'm going to need a space blanket to wrap the child up properly into and I will make use of my ambulance blankets to cover all patients and reduce shock. I consider my blankets as a medical supply object because I realize that if I have wrapped a patient or toddler in a blanket, the blanket is the same as a bandage. I cannot just wait a little for it at the hospital (we give the patient in with the blanket around them at the hospital and we have drawn new blanket out of the store room). Most medical supplies must be signed out at the stores. I need to sign my name and be answerable for what I have got, I actually take my supply papers and books with me on the ambulance so that I can write everything I have collected and used on the call, to ensure I can get them exchanged. Everything has got to be literally written down in our patients book indicating that the patient has received it and will be charged for everthing applied to them.
